Through direct contact with exhibiting contemporary artists, teachers will have the unique opportunity to discuss ideas and issues that relate to their body of work and sculptural practice.

Our Professional Learning events will provide educators with a real insight into the Sculpture by the Sea exhibition as well as sculptural practice in general. The ideas and activities that you discover can be taken back to the classroom and incorporated into future visual art programming.

Sculpture in Public Space
This conference is designed for sculptors, curators, critics, arts administrators, teachers and the general public who are interested in issues and experiences relating to sculpture in public space. Key note speakers will discuss the history of public sculpture, with panel sessions exploring the issues and challenges facing contemporary sculpture and space.

| This preview features an introduction to the exhibition, a tour of the site, handouts, refreshments and artist led discussions. Three exhibiting artists will be involved in the Preview, speaking in front of their sculptures. |

For the first time in Bondi, Sculpture by the Sea will be offering an after school workshop for teacher's to explore practical art making activities and techniques that can be taken back into the classroom. The workshop will be led by an exhibiting artist and activities will be based on their work in the exhibition, with an emphasis on material exploration and skill development.
