To celebrate the release of our 15th anniversary book we held a book launch in the beautiful grounds of the Cottesloe Civic Centre last Sunday.
 
Along with the Mayor of Cottesloe Kevin Morgan and many of the Councillors and the Town’s CEO Carl Askew joining us was long time Sculpture by the Sea photographer Clyde Yee who flew in from Hong Kong.  Clyde photographed each of the first 10 Bondi exhibitions and many of our Cottesloe and Aarhus exhibitions and back in the days when we had an almost zero exhibition budget we could not have documented the show without his support … thanks Clyde!
 
The book features 232 pages of photos of each Sculpture by the Sea exhibition together with short essays on the history of the shows by Founding Director David Handley; a welcome to the Denmark exhibitions by TRH Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark; and a behind the scenes essay by the Production Team, in which we give an overview of the myriad of tasks required to stage the exhibitions and the complexity of producing the shows.
