The artists for Sculpture by the Sea, Bondi 2012 have been selected and it's set to be a great looking exhibition. We are looking at one of our most diverse line-ups yet with 17 countries represented. These include:

Australia China Denmark Germany Iceland India Israel Italy Japan Netherlands New Zealand Norway Philippines Puerto Rico South Korea Spain USA

The successful artists were selected over three days by our curatorial panel made up of:

• Clara Hali, Sculptor, Lecturer, National Art School, Sydney;
• Tony Jones OAM, Sculptor, Principal Lecturer Sculpture, Central Institute of Technology, Perth;
• Dr Alan Krell, Associate Professor, Sherman School of Art History & Art Education, College of Fine Arts, The University of New South Wales; and
• Ron Robertson-Swann OAM, Sculptor & Head of Sculpture, National Art School, Sydney.

The successful artists were selected from a field of over 500 submissions from all over Australia and 24 countries from around the world. Submissions were of a high quality and the panel definitely had a task on their hands to cull down the field to just over 100 submissions.

We'd like to congratulate all the successful artists and look forward to working with them to see their sculptures come to fruition in five months time on Bondi's beautiful coastline.
