The Benevolent Society Art Dinner Auction

17-May-2012

Sculpture by the Sea
has joined forces with The Benevolent Society for their annual Art Dinner series. Approaching its 9th year, the Benevolent Society’s Annual Art Dinner attracts renowned Australian chefs and exemplary keynote speakers for a night of fine food and art hosted by The Art Gallery of NSW.

Each year, The Art Dinner raises funds for The Benevolent Society’s priority programs. This year’s theme Art & Friends is to raise awareness for the Fostering Friends program, a program that encourages external support relationships for foster children. The Benevolent society matches trained volunteers to children in foster care to spend time together and share common interests or hobbies.

Sculpture by the Sea has offered a raffle and silent art auction on the night. Geoff Harvey, Kelly Ann Lees, Phil Spelman, Linda Bowden, Hugh Ramage, Bjorn Godwin, Lucy Vader, Stephen Marr, Clara Hali and Jenny Orchard, have generously offered up their sculptures to be auctioned on the evening to raise funds for the Fostering Friends program.

This years dinner will be held on the 26 May with food by Sean Connolly (Chef, Restaurateur, TV Host) and key note speaker Rob de Castella MBE (Founder and Director Indigenous Marathon Project Marathon Champion and 1983 Australian of the Year).
