Over the holiday period artist Stephen Marr was sent a holiday greeting from his golden buddha exhibited at Sculpture by the Sea, Bondi 2011. Stephen's sculpture 'the golden buddha's seaside holiday' wrote to let him know he had settled into his new home.

Dear Stephen,
As you can see I have settled into my new abode. I have a very nice four legged friend who tried to jump up at me for the first couple of days (my new family were beside themselves!) but now we get on just fine! My legs are still a bit wobbly as I haven’t yet been bolted me in place with the armatures you sent but with that dog around I know I’ll need all the support I can get. As far as locations go, I love it! I meet everyone that walks through the front door and am looking forward to making lots of new friends over the Xmas holidays. I do like my new place but miss you all the same~ are you missing me? I know I shouldn’t be bothered with all this attachment stuff~ But rest assured, I am being well looked after and eating well, in fact I think I might have put on a couple of kilos since the holidays started! Such is life!
